Bayonetta
I highly suspect Ian will flood this thread...
Anyway! Bayonetta, THE witch of the new decade (and last decade as well XD). A fantasticly well made game with addictive controls and an insane, and non-sensical, story.
Recent news on the game, the PS3 version recently got an update allowing for game data to be installed. Now the longer than usual loading times have been shortened.

Re: Bayonetta
I've never played a game like it before! And by that I mean the Devil May Cry type hack 'n slash genre.
I played the demo first and loved every second of it, Ordered from Shop.to and it came the next day to my surprise.
Played through on Very Easy, Easy, Normal and currently halfway through playing on Hard Mode...
The Story has one of the most "Wut" moments ever and I dont even think the makers of the game understand what the plot is. Overall I love this game And will continue to play it even after I beat Non-Stop Infinite Climax mode (Very Hard)

Re: Bayonetta
I've still only played through it once on easy. I simply have too many games to be playing, like Bioshock, Ar Tonelico 2, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days...

Re: Bayonetta
I got this a few days, after it's excellent reviews, Ghost's pestering, and various other things. Such as the demo. Playing through on normal, just finished Chapter 2. Very good game, even if I do die a fair bit. I'm getting better! ^_^
Re: Bayonetta
This game is madness! The gameplay is great, the soundtracks are wonderful, the story is cool, the main character is charismatic, it's just os insane, I only have the demo wich I play OFTEN, and I'll buy the full version when I'll can, this game is pure win, I love it!

Re: Bayonetta
The game is brilliant! I really need to start playing it more to be honest. Dante's Inferno and God Of War 3 coming out. They seem more appealing to play more often than Bayonetta. I do have the game and its very OTT (Over the top) which makes this game good.
Though, its tipical Japanese hack & slash which makes it so good!

Re: Bayonetta
Me and Ghost tried to win a signed copy of this through Twitter earlier today, but unfortunately we failed to get it.
Re: Bayonetta

Re: Bayonetta
If only more modern games still held the element of gaming that Bayonetta does. I just played the Uncharted 2 demo and promptly quit after not even 5 minutes...
PS3 owners, UPDATE NOW XD

Re: Bayonetta
They've persuaded me (them being Ian and Cory) , aswell as the demo (epic) to also buy Bayonetta 8D
I absolutely LOVED every second of the demo, the clock part was a bit 'o_o' but the end part with the MASSIVE Gold Axe was simply superb, got myself a Pure Platinum Medal ^_^
I also ordered from Shop.To.

Re: Bayonetta
If you guys (Ian included XD) had pre-ordered this game early enough from GAME, you would have gotten a replica of the Scarborough Fair gun she uses like I did XD

Re: Bayonetta
Overstatement much?
Certainly a contendor for Game of the Year 2009 AND 2010 (Japan got it last year afterall XD).

Re: Bayonetta
Surely game of the Year 2009 was already announce by now?
This just seems like a female version of the DMC series, even the same producer. However, heard alot of good things, so may be worth picking up.

Re: Bayonetta
For Japan I said, the west just had *sigh* Modern Warfare 2 as GotY 2009.
Most undeserving game ever.
Anyway, Bayonetta is FAR better than Devil May Cry, surpassing even the original DMC in my view. Regardless to what you may think, it's agreed that it's is superior to DMC4 XD

Re: Bayonetta
DMC4 was a travesty to the series, Saying Bayonette was better isn't giving it much ground to be honest.
Also, as a side point, MW2 isn't that undeserving, it's a pretty good game, like i've said elsewhere, it's all opinion, we seem to be forgetting this fact alot nowadays.

Re: Bayonetta
I still don't see all the DMC4 hate though, personally. It's still a good game to me...

Re: Bayonetta
It just seemed so different to the first three, didn't feel like a DMC, that plus the repetitiveness of it at times.
Re: Bayonetta
I still found it worthwhile. Not excellent, but certainly very much playable.

Re: Bayonetta
Well I only played the demo for it but I was impressed by it.
Not my cup of tea but I can see why people rate it highly. I would rather save up and get the new God of War tbh.

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire game and would play it more often, however I do have a big backlog that I need to catch up on...
