Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions trailer released

So what do you guys think? Me, I'm not sure just yet.

Looks like there's different presentation styles on show there. Interesting, but I can't see it fitting together with coherence. The gritty side there just makes it seem a lot like the black suit from Spider-Man 3, and given how shocking that game was, it's probably not a good thing. It's too samey.

You don't seem overly-familiar with Spider-Man outside of the movies and video games, judging from the comparisons with Spider-Man 3 instead of something better.

Basically, the "gritty" side you refer to is part of a Marvel Comics imprint slash alternate universe called Marvel Noir. The premise is fairly dissimilar to Spider-Man's behavior while under the influence of the symbiote suit. The basic premise of the game is that some Spidey villain has done something or other to mess up reality or the multiverse or something like that, so you'll be playing as Spidey (or an alternate universe version of him) in four different universes.

Granted, I don't think much of the premise or the trailer, but Batman or the Shadow would be far better comparisons than Spider-Man 3.

I do believe you will play as four characters? From the trailer you will play as Spiderman and Noir? I haven't read all the Spiderman comics but if they are following from the comics then this will be great adaptation from the comic to a videogame.

If you pause the trailer on 1:12. It says "Two More Will Be Revealed", these can be other characters which are playable or arch-nemesis for Spiderman and Noir.

I'm interested and I would like some more details.
