The Riddles Thread
I swear we had one of these, but it appears we don't. Anyway, this is the riddles thread. Just post a riddle and other people can try to answer the riddles! One thing though, I'd suggest quoting a riddle while answering it. That makes things a whole lot easier.
Here's a simple one to start us off:
A man shot his wife. He then drowned her and hung her. However, an hour later, they went out to dinner together, both perfectly alive. How is this possible?

That's correct! Don't worry, I don't need it word for word

Re: The Riddles Thread
I have to post one?! This wasn't part of the deal... Ah well, I found this one...
If a rooster laid a brown egg and a white egg, what kind of chicks would hatch?

Re: The Riddles Thread
I'm just going to post a new riddle.
Many have heard it, but nobody has ever seen it, and it will not speak back until spoken to. What is it?

The man who invented it doesn't want it. The man who bought it doesn't need it. The man who needs it doesn't know it. What is it?

Re: The Riddles Thread
A simple riddle to kick this thread off again.
A frog is 30m away from a pond. He jumps half his current distance away from the pond every time he jumps. How many jumps will it take the frog to reach the pond?

Correct, and good analogy, I understand why too. *remembers Science in school*

Hm, not a clue. I'm thinking a gravestone.

That was a good one I has one now.
Four men are in a boat. Suddenly, the boat capsizes. All the men sink to the bottom, yet not a single man got wet. How is this?
