Who is your favourite?
Gig Help Required! >_> Need some opinions.
Hey Guys!
Some of you may know that I'm a real gig-goer, and that I have three planned for November already. This is why I would like to enlist your help. There are three more bands who I'm dying to see, but I can only choose one. I love all these three bands, therefore don't have any preference over one or the other, hence why I'm asking for you help.
I'd just like to hear your opinions on each band and persuade me to see your point of view 8D
1) Foals. I just like them because they're different, and the gigs are very, well, urm, lively?
2) Train. Old Classic Acoustic stuff, really nice music.
3) Goo Goo Dolls. They like just announced a tour now, which is why I'm in utter confusion about who to see!
Thanks Guys!
Matt.

I'd say Foals, they seem to be one you really like, so I'd suggest that one. Also, you said they're different, which will make it a concert that will stand out.

I do really like them, as I do all the others. It is a 'different' gig I'll admit that, the thing with them is that they could well tour again, Train and Goo Goo Dolls haven't been here in a long time so idk when they'll come back
Re: Gig Help Required! >_> Need some opinions.
It can be pretty hard to tell if someone's gonna do another tour or not. I'm going to assume you've never been to any of their concerts, but if you have just mention. That's all I can really help you with.

I too am a huge fan of live music (going to 2 festivals over the summer, one of which is this weekend) but I have no idea about this kind of music. I would say that you should consider these points though:
1) How likely is it you'll be able to see them again?
2) How lively is the crowd gonna be?
3) How good are the band live?
4) How much will it cost you in terms of money and travel time?

I'm likely to see the Foals live again, if anyone, the other two are relatively old bands making new material, they haven't been to the UK for a while so idk whether it will be a one off.
The Foals are very good live, and I've heard stories of crowd surfing etc, which sound incredibly fun, because it's dancey music, yet to watch the other two live.
Foals is £14 - Birmingham (2 hours)
Train is £16 - Bristol (1 hour)
Goo Goos are unknown (not on sale yet) - Birmingham
The only thing stopping me from buying Foals tickets is simply the fact that they are most likely to tour again.
Out of interest Sid, which festivals are you going to?!

Has to be the Train, all the way, night and day.
That band is awesome and surely the eldest of the 3, meaning you have the least chance of catching them again, can't argue with numbers (trust me I tried for 3 years)

So much mixed opinion in the polls! I myself have only heard the goo goo dolls now, so I had to go for that one =/ I have a feeling people here won't be able to help you make up your own mind, but if you like all three, then whichever you go to will be great right?
Re: Gig Help Required! >_> Need some opinions.
It isn;t the easiest of decisions as you can't realistically knock it down to 50/50
