Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4
"Speed is something that is not given; but rather earned through dedication. Speed is not found by simply pushing a boost button, but by building momentum. It is the reward for skill in the face of difficult challenges – this kind of speed is the most exhilarating, not only because it is fast, but because of the pure perfection such speed exemplifies. This is the truth of the original Sonic games – and this is the truth of Project Needlemouse."
I can wait, honestly, this is what I've been waiting for since I was like 7.

~.^ interesting that it's going back to 2D format for this game, i'm secretly hoping that you can play as tails
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4
Fingers crossed for SEGA not making a massive ballsup of this one. If they can't make a good 2D Sonic game (which is what they were good at) or a good 3D Sonic game, they simply can't make a good Sonic game. If this doesn't come off then Sonic might as well disconnect the life support right now, he's already hit a flatline. All he has to live for is Mario and Sonic, and that's not truly his franchise.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4
Sorry Jess, It's gonna be Sonic only.
I'm not sure about the running motion tbh, doesn't make it look like he's running fast.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4
I wish Sonic 4 the best of luck, I have a feeling Sega has opened their eyes on this, and if it is a success, I can imagine a 5th game been made. If it flops, you might as well say goodbye to Sonic for good.
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4
On the site, if you click on Characters, you see that one character is to be revealed. However, this is probably Eggman.
Anyway, I can't wait. I really hope Sega don't screw this up.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4
This is going to be EPIC stuff if SEGA do this properly. Megadrive collection will have to do if I fancy a quick go on Sonic as I cannot be arsed to connect the Megadrive up
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4
Here's hoping for a new Anthrax album to listen to while playing .
Bought Attack of the Killer B's same day as the original Sonic was released, playind the whole game listening to Bring the Noise et al

Haha awesome song! I somewhat feel that Rob Zombie- Demon Speeding will have to be played when getting this
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4
I have no idea how people find this stuff...
First off, parts of the Sonic image in the official announcement trailer reveal some other animations for Sonic, such as a zip line being involved. Take a look at the capture below to see what I mean.
If you look at the "In 2010 The Adventure Continues" it's not sparkling so much as it's overlaying what looks like a Sonic 1-style special stage, the rotating maze.
It's much easier to see in motion.
Oh and if you wanna hear a small jingle: http://sonic.sega.jp/SonicTheHedgehog4/

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4
This is possibly my most anticipated Wii game of the year. Mario Galaxy 2, No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle and stuff like that may beat it however.

All this stuff is making me weak at the knees with joy.
I just cannot wait, this is where my sonic fanboyism pays off.

No, No. Leave the Sonic game alone, it needs to blossom.
This is truly a Sega fans last hope.

Last hope would be a rumour of a 360/PS3 beater being in the works
