Bioshock 2
Bioshock 2 comes out on tuesday. Really am looking forward to Bioshock 2 as I really liked Bioshock 1. This time I will be going round Rapture with more of a exploring mind than just "Oh, here is a diary tape, collect it and proceed onwards and forget the rest." The diary tapes made Bioshock that extra bit special than to most other games.
Via diary tapes you can get to know more side characters in detail in that area you are currently in. 2K also have changed the hacking gameplay mechanic, to where you hack whilst carrying on fighting against the splicers.
Being a prototype Big Daddy, I do wonder, would it not be a heavy advantage against the splicers? I guess you will have a bundle of them thrown at you but then the word reptition comes into play which I hope it doesn't.
You can read the IGN review which got a 9/10 here
Who else is getting Bioshock 2?

Re: Bioshock 2
I think I'm going to have to atleast play BS1 before I consider this, but I have heard great things about the Multi-player.
Re: Bioshock 2
Despite loving the first a lot, I really do ot see the point in this.
It looks mostly the same to be honest, nothing new enough to convince me to buy it. Maybe in a while when it becomes really cheap (like my under £10 copy of the first game XD) when Bioshock 3 inevitably comes out (which would be even more pointless...).

Re: Bioshock 2
As with all other 360 games, I'm sticking to my "Under £20" policy. I enjoyed the first Bioshock immensely, and it has to be my favourite game on the 360. I can wait though, I'm perfectly patient, and if it gets me an excellent deal as with the first (£15 for the steelcase) then I'm thoroughly happy waiting.
Martyn, you can borrow my copy, but if there's even so much as a speck of dirt on the case when you're done with it you can kiss your manhood goodbye. That steelcase is a sexy beast and commands respect.

Re: Bioshock 2
Just don't give me the steel case?
And to be fair, I borrowed your Metroid series for 10 months and returned them in perfect condition =D

Re: Bioshock 2
You let a non Metroid fan borrow Metroid games? Owen....I shake my head at you No offence Martyn
Re: Bioshock 2
I'm sorry, which of us has a successful Brawl team named after something from Metriod?
Case closed.
I mean, if I wasn't atleast interested, why would I borrow all 3 games in one chunk and play them all.

It was more than 10 months I think Martyn. I leant them to Paul about a month after Corruption came out and then didn't see them again until my 18th. It was one and a half years between you.

All the times you've said you're not much of a Metroid fan, and similar quotes. Also...successful?
Re: Bioshock 2
Yes successful, Me and Zero won our fair share of money from tournaments.
Yeah, not much, I'm not much of a Melee player anymore, I still play Melee. Just because I'm not much of something doesn't make me not that something all together.

Re: Bioshock 2
Back on topic please peeps. Here's the IGN review. Watch at your own discression; there doesn't seem to be many spoilers, but all the same, don't watch if you don't want to spoil the game:

Bioshock 2 is amazing. I do like collecting the audio tapes and the story is very interesting. I fought against the Big Sister and well..... Just make sure you have enough hypo's and health packs with ammo fully stocked on your weapons.
