Heart Gold or Soul Silver?

I'm trying to see how many people will be getting the game and when they plan to get it.

Soul Silver all the way ;D

I can't wait for this, it just has to be epic, no excuses, and if it's not, I'm playing the original on my PC until everyone shuts up about it.

Something tells me this could've been integrated with the original thread...

But nevertheless, SoulSilver. I've got an import so from day one I would assume.

Seems like Soul Silver is miles ahead of Heart Gold!

So far it would appear everyone wants Soul Silver on day one!

SoulSilver does seem to be more popular around here. Is it Pokemon choices people like most? Lugia having it's special move? Preference of silver over gold (metal wise)?

I wanted Silver for multiple reasons:

My brother always gets the 'Main' one (Red, Gold, ect). I always got the oposite of him.
My best friend always gets the 'Main' one.
I got Silver originally, I want Silver Again.
Silver being so popular here upsets me, as I'm so used to having the 'lesser' game. But in the end, the people I know in 'reality' are still mostly getting Gold. So it solves that...

Also, Pokemon Wise. Gold would make more sense to me. I prefer Ho-Oh and Kyogre. (Ho-Oh is in Silver, but it's the 'main' one in Gold. And Kyogre is Gold Exclusive, according to ONM)

Yup, Kyogre is Heart Gold-exclusive. Trade Groudon from Soul Silver and you get Rayquaza.

Also, it's strange how so many people are getting Soul Silver. I'm getting HeartGold because I always get the main game (except in the case of FR/LG) and because I got Gold.

You press the edit button on your post, then scroll down a bit to the poll options. ^_^

Considering I already have Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza (in fact, the only legendaries I'm missing are the 2nd gen ones, the Latis and Deoxys/Jirachi), the very game specific inclusions don't bother me much. But Lugia having it's main moveset makes it more worthwhile for me.

I'm getting Soul Silver, cos I always get the opposite to my friend and I like the 'darker' option for some reason (I got blue instead of red, silver instead of gold, sapphire instead of ruby, diamond instead of pearl etc).

Just a note, how many people have pre-ordered from GAME?

They have a special edition statue on the games, Ho-oh for HeartGold and Lugia for SoulSilver. I changed my pre-order upon discovering it XD

I want teddiursa and vulpix so i'm getting heartgold ^.^; but i'll getting it sometime after it's release

Looks like I won't be getting Pokemon SS on launch day! Bad times... Money isn't there for the game as of God Of War III but who knows yet... I might be able to get the game afterall but I won't be promising anything just yet!

I might be able to still get it but most probably get it in the easter period. I was wondering if we could set up a Pokemon league?

Seeing as last time it never happened with Platinum and with a strong figure of us getting the game me = (maybe), we should create a tournament. A friendly, community tournament.

I could try, but I don't know when I'll be getting HeartGold. I can trade you one from another game, however.

I'm willing to help people get the pokemon they want, I have a vast collection all the way back from Ruby. If people are willing to trade across and help me complete the pokedex, i'll do what I can.

Completing the Pokedex 100% will be my final act, and if I can achieve that, my day will have come in regards to Pokemon.
