Heart Gold or Soul Silver?

Well, the game is out in the states (and has been leaked onto the net for the best part of half a week XD), anyone getting excited that it's now less than 2 weeks away here than the usual 2 months?

I'm pleased we're getting the game much sooner than expected. My preorder is all set and ready on shopto. It'll be my first buy on the site so I am trusting people when they've said they're reliable.

I think thats 3 people I have converted to use the shopto.net! I have had no problems with Shopto at all Darren. I do believe we had a conversation about shopto.net over on msn.

I have ordered 37 soon going to be 38 with shopto.net. All except 2 because of the bad weather we had at the start of the year (flipping snow) and the other being the mail strike when MW2 was coming out, though I still got MW2 on launch day which was a nice surprise.

A day before release day is a satisfying feeling. God Of War 3 comes out this week so Thursday is the day I will most probably get the game from shopto.

I went to GAME, which recently dropped the price to £30, because they have the Ho-oh/Lugia statue.

What is now only a little bit extra for a limited edition statue, definately XD

Anyone else interested in keeping a progress log in this topic when the game comes out?

I thought the same, however for the 14p cheaper option, it has a chance of getting here a day early too XD

I actually hope it doesn't come a day early...

I'm not home on Thursdays, so I won't be able to collect it.

You can at least pick it up from a sorting office. I want it here NOW! As soon as it comes, i'm going out to get a metalic blue DSi. I just felt if I was going to get one, I might as well get one now. I hope I have enough cash for it..

Lucky you, you get the 1,000 free DSi points just before they dissolve the scheme. It finishes at the end of the month.

I called GAME today, they have the stupid idea that they can sell the console at £129.99 if I buy a game, and £149.99 new. The DSiXL is £159.99 FFS! Both are overpriced and should both drop to under £100 ASAP.

Nope, Royal Mail insists on sending it to one about 2 miles away when the nearest one is within half a mile away. I do online redelivery.

We now enter the final phase.. confirmation of our orders and dispatch. My order is still in preorder, so i'll take it they haven't received it yet. Just three days to go until release.. I hope shopto is as fast as Ian says...

You will get the game on Thursday Darren. Unless Shopto get stock today, then you will be MEGA lucky to get two days before release. Shopto usually get the stock in on a Wednesday. I have been using Shopto for over 2 years and over that period of time, I have ordered 30 items from them. Only 1 item didn't come and that was because of the RoyalFail Strikes no so long ago or whenever it was

I'm debating whether to get Gold instead of Silver just to be different... Is their any information which Pokemon will feature on Gold then Silver and vice of versa?

Mine's still on Pre-Order as well, I'm not expecting it Thursday. As I got FFXIII on release day from ShopTo. If this doesn't get here a day early, they'll have one more chance with Monster Hunter. If that doesn't get here the day before, I'll scrap ShopTo for any future pre-orders

I was actually skeptical at first as to when I would get it... I'm not going to go all "OMG IT'S COMING TOMORROWZ!!!1" cause then I'll get disappointed if it inevitably doesn't come XD

I'm sorry to be a bit critical, but isn't this slightly spoilt? ShopTo has some good deals in terms of pre-orders, and you should be happy you're getting the game at all. A lot of places send out the game for the release date or the next day.

But yeah Scott, since the game has been out since September in Japan, everything's on Serebii.

I don't see how it is, when I've gone years of using Game and Play.com with both websites getting the games to me the day before about 99.9% of the time (i.e. I can't remember a time they didn't get to me a day early) it's simply something I'm acustomed to. ^_^

Play.com and early deliveries are not something I'd ever associate with each other. It has had the most apalling track record with me, the only time it was good was when it was a independant sellar and not Play.com that was handling it.

I've had Amazon guarantee it on release day, same with ShopTo, so I'm more used to getting it on time. I've recently ordered from GAME, though the last game was Bayonetta, which arrived on the release day (but due to postal strikes I paid for special delivery, so if it would've arrived early withou the strikes I can't say).

Considering I've got a confirmed dispatch of SS from GAME, I'm expecting tomorrow or the worst case scenario of Thursday (where I can't be in to collect and can't have redelivered until Monday...).

My copy of Soul Silver has been dispatched! £26.85 is great!

Mine was sent today as well, a little bit before Darrens ^_^
