Three new videos up. Basically, this is what we see in them:
-Battles in action. Battles are no longer static: the camera moves, sprites move all the time, and movement is more fluid. Also, a smaller visual change: the HP bar flashes red when attacked.
-Zoroark in action. In the battle, Zoroark will appear as another Pokemon, and if attacked, will change back to Zoroark. Zoroark can't be captured while as another Pokemon, unlike Ditto. It's interesting the way the battle is shown: Aura Sphere, the move used, is super effective against Zoroark, a Dark-type, so we have no idea if it's the amount of damage dealt or super effective moves that make it change.
-The starters in action. Not much to show here, it's just really a 'Which one to choose?' video.
-More overworld action, specifically, Hiun City's market. The city seems to be a large business district, with people in suits running around everywhere (literally running, like the trainer does). These people run around you (also literally: if there's one in front of you, it'll run around you). Also, you don't have to press A to see what these people say: sometimes, they'll just say stuff without having to talk to them. It might be like in, say, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, where some people have mini speech bubbles over them talking about stuff (e.g. opening scene where the Piantas beat up the Robbo). Also, there are many buildings here, some with entrances (OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!). So overall, the city is looking amazing.
I've got to say, Black/White are truly impressing me. Zoroark (and, to an extent, Zorua) is one of the best Pokemon created since 1st and 2nd gen, Hiun City looks spectacular, and battles look cooler now.

That actually looks quite interesting. I might seriously consider giving this a look in, it's a serious departure from the presentation of pokemon thus far, and I think it's quite interesting.

I am not sure I want to go into 5th gen, right now i'm about 2% interested. I dislike the idea of having even more pokemon, 3rd gen was far too many as it is, I have lost count now, I don't even pay attention to anything beyond 2nd gen really.

Why does the idea of more Pokemon sound bad exactly? What do you expect them to do; keep the same ones in a new region? That would make no sense. It's just a new RPG adventure.
To say Pokemon sucks because you miscount all the new Pokemon just sounds shallow and completely ignoring the whole concept of Pokemon.

GA's first comment is correct. Adding new Pokemon is the easiest way to keep things fresh. So what if there's more Pokemon? Yes, it's confusing, but it's not meant to make sense, it's to get people buying the games.

A 3 vs 3 champion battle would be quite cool, actually 
However, I'd prefer the traditional 1 vs 1 but maybe you could get it to be 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3 after the Elite 4.

o First, we have Kibago (キバゴ), the Tusk Pokémon. It is 0.6m tall and weighs 18kg. It has the abilities of Rivalry & Mold Breaker and is a Dragon-type Pokémon. It also has a new attack called Double Chop (ダブルチョップ) which attacks twice
o Next is Koromori (コロモリ). It is the Bat Pokémon. It is 0.4m tall and weighs 2.1kg. It has the abilities of Unaware & Klutz and is a Psychic/Flying-type Pokémon. It also has a new attack called Heart Stamp (ハートスタンプ) which makes the opponent Flinch.
o Next is Minezumi (ミネズミ). It is the Lookout Pokémon. It is 0.5m tall and weighs 11.6kg. It has the abilities of Run Away & Keen Eye and is a Normal-type Pokémon. It also has a new attack called You First (おさきにどうぞ) which allows the opponent to move first
o Next is Gochiruzeru (ゴチルゼル). It is the Celestial Body Pokémon. It is 1.5m tall and weighs 44kg. It has the ability of Frisk and is a Psychic-type Pokémon. It has the new attack Magic Room (マジックルーム) which negates the effects of any Items on both you and the opponent for 5 turns..
o Next is Rankurusu (ランクルス). It is the Amplification Pokémon. It is 1.0m tall and weighs 20.1kg. It has the abilities of Dust-Proof (ぼうじん), which makes the Pokémon not take damage from weather effects & Magic Guard and is a Psychic-type Pokémon.
o Next is Wooguru (ウォーグル ), possibly derived from War and Eagle. It is the Valor Pokémon, it is 1.5m tall, weighs 41kg and is a standard Normal/Flying-type Pokémon. It has two abilities, one of them Keen Eye and the other is Encourage, the ability Hihidaruma has which boosts the power of its moves but prevents the moves having a secondary effect. It also has a new attack called Free-Fall (フリーフォール). Free-Fall is a two turn attack that has the Pokémon grab the opponent and lift it into the air and then on the next turn falls to the ground
o Next is Musharna (ムシャーナ ), the evolution of the Pokémon Munna. It is the Trance Pokémon. It is 1.1m tall and weighs 60.5kg. It has the abilities of Forewarn & Synchronize and is a Psychic-type Pokémon. Both Munna & Musharna give off the Dream Smoke. As explained on Sunday, the Dream Smoke is part of the Global Link connectivity.
* Triple Battles First, we have details on the Triple battles, showing how you can target with the middle Pokémon being able to target all three Pokémon and the ones at the sides being able to target the opposite one and the middle one. You also have the ability to switch Pokémon positions in battle.
If a Pokémon in the middle uses an attack that hits all Pokémon, then it will be very powerful
* There is a new ability called Telepathy (テレパシー) which allows the Pokémon to avoid receiving damage from its team-mates.
* There is also a new attack, name currently not given, which will cause all your team mates to avoid damage from attacks that would hurt all team members such as Earthquake.
* Global Link The Global Link has two modes. One, where your Pokémon play in a dream and another is an online battling system. It appears that you have the ability to capture Pokémon not in the Isshu Dex within the Global Link and have them transferred back to your game. This can be done in the dream mode. As we said on Sunday, you access the Global Link when you have Musharna, the evolution of Munna.
o The Game Sync is accessible through the C Gear. Here, you can send a single Pokémon to the computer and the "dream world".
o In the world of dreams Pokémon have their own rooms that they can play in. They can play minigames with other Pokémon. Pokémon that your Pokémon becomes friends with in the dream world can be taken back to the real world
o If you are registed to the PGL, then you can play "Rating Mode" of "Random Match" at to the global terminal inside of the Pokémon center. It will send your battle results to a server gather them so you can see who is really strong.
* Version Changes Gochiruzeru and Rankurusu are Version exclusives and Black City & White forest are in the same part of Isshu.
* There will also be other cities that vary in appearance based on your game
* Features Using Infared, you have the ability of having speedy battles. This can be 2 or 4 Player. You can also trade this way on the spot from your box. You can automatically exchange friend codes over IR
* You have the ability to draw on your friends faces over the Live Caster video chat. Characters in game will also call you on the Live Caster from time to time
* There is also a gentleman in the game which will switch your game from the standard Hiragana/Katakana text to Kanji
* There is a feature called Feeling Check that checks players compatibility. One of the things it shows is a game where two people have to keep the same rythmn
* The High Link features mentioned yesterday have also been further confirmed and will involve meeting players over WiFi in the Isshu overworld and doing missions for them. This is as close to a MMORPG as we'll get
* The C Gear as we knew has abilities in InfraRed, Wireless & WiFi
* Characters Professor Araragi gives you the Pokémon and says for you to share with your friends, Cheren & Belle
* It seems that you, Belle and Cheren all get the starters from Professor Araragi, leaving none left out as all of you are beginning your journey together.
* Belle is a spontaneous person and is on her adventure against her father's wishes. She is rather unreliable.
* Cheren is an intelligent guy and will give you helpful tips throughout your journey. He intends to be the champion in Isshu.
* Indicating that Isshu is far away, the routes have once again reset and will begin with Route 1
* N is one of the antagonists. N will keep coming to challenge you in order to confirm his ideas of justice. He calls Pokémon "Friends", but one of the screen shots shows him saying that he wants to split humans and Pokémon and divide them so it's black and white. He has the unique idea to set Pokémon free from people. He's looking for the power to bring his idea to fruition
* Makoma will give you the C Gear after you assist her with a task

Up to now, it's a major change from D/P. People will still complain that the formula hasn't changed, but a lot of other stuff has changed.

- ::New Pokemon - Mamanbou. It may be a Luvdisc evolution. This was revealed a while ago but I'll add it in anyway.
::New Pokemon - Victini. It's the Mew/Celebi/Jirachi of this generation (I have no idea if Shaymin or Manaphy is the 4th gen representation of that archtype). Anyway, it's #000 in the Pokedex and can be obtained around the time the games comes out via an event item called the Liberty Ticket. Apparently you have to get to a certain in-game point however.
::When obtaining the Liberty Ticket, the item appears big in the screen surrounded by a green glow. A minor touch, no idea if all found items do this.
::New Pokemon - Miruhoggu, the evolution of Minezumi (the beaver-like Pokemon revealed last month
::New Pokemon - Shikijika, the Deer Pokemon. It reminds me a bit of Bambi, although I've probably forgotten what Bambi looks like.
::New Pokemon - a stork-like Pokemon with no name yet.
::New Feature - Pokemon Musical. It appears to replace Contests and has your Pokemon performing a music show with other Pokemon in front of an audience. It functions similarly to contests in that you dress up your Pokemon, but the items actually attach to your Pokemon and move during the show, which probably boosts points. One feature is dancing, which is similar to the music part of Super Contests in Sinnoh. You can play it multiplayer too, it seems.
::Many routes will be seasonal, as shown in the video where the male trainer walks down the route, with it looking normal before the female trainer walks down the route with it being Autumn.
::New Area: Tower of Heaven
::New Team in this game is Team Plasma. They look like robot nuns. However, what's interesting is that this team was rumoured months ago along with other info that turned out to be true such as the female professor and her name, and triple battles. However, it got Reshiram's type wrong.
::You transfer Pokemon over via Pokeshifter, a new mini-game. The six Pokemon you want to transfer appear on the top screen, and on the bottom screen, you aim and launch Pokeballs at them.
::In triple battles, you can choose to control just one of your Pokemon and you can rotate it around in the formation. What I mean by this is that you release all three of your Pokemon but only one battles at a time. You can rotate the formation around so that the next Pokemon can battle. This doesn't take up a turn either. It's a bit of a gamble - should you use all three Pokemon in battle at once or use the rotation idea for more strategy?
::High Link Mission - Hide an Ultra Ball in front of the Tower of Heaven without talking to anybody or anybody talking to you. This has to be done in 180 seconds. If you complete it you win 3 Derudama. I have no idea either.
::New Move - Soak, learned by Mamanbou.
::New Move - Fire Oath, learned by Pokabu, the fire starter.
::New Move - Grass Oath, learned by Tsutaja, the grass starter.
::Some minor Game Sync information was revealed. You can grow berries in your Game Sync garden and pick them to use in-game. When you encounter a Pokemon on your computer, you can go to the Dream World overworld, walk up to that Pokemon and battle it.
::Both Black City and White Forest appear to have very large buildings/trees.
::New Trainer classes - Football player, chef/baker, nurse/attendant/stewardess and backpacker
::Wild double battles without another trainer
::Weird trainer walking on wooden beams. That's not important, I just thought it looked weird
::A train appears in the game, and you can battle other trainers in it. It may be an arena-like train.
::At one point in the game, the player gets shot out of a cannon through hoops. Okaaaaay. This may be a gym as there are many other cannons and strangers, as well as the presence of two things at the bottom which may be variations of the statues that appear inside gym entrances. There also appears to be someone there.
::3D cutscenes. One cutscene shows Reshiram and Zekrom going haywire.
::A cutscene at the start appears to show someone getting crowned while destruction rains upon Isshu and Reshiram and Zekrom wake up.
::One battle appears to occur in a museum against a black girl who has a quite unique and bizarre appearance, so whether she's a gym leader and the musem is a part of her gym, or an important character in another way, we don't know. She gets that special pre-battle thing where pixel art of her and the player clash, and she has a name: Aroe.
::Interestingly enough, at one point in the video when artwork of the trainers are being shown off, the video lingers on N much longer and the background fades away. Just how much of an important role does N play?
::More C Gear stuff. It seems to connect to whoever's near you, possibly without a choice, as shown in the video with kids waving an each other (one kid gets ignored lolol). You can also look up the trainer's information such as where they are in Isshu.
::In the High Link section of the video, if you look carefully, you may notice the map's appearance changing when you use High Link. I'm not 100% certain, but it may be related to the seasonal changes as Isshu seems to go from autumn or winter. Or maybe that's just me.
::When doing missions, it appears that the appearance of characters you're linked to change so that you don't recognise them. This makes missions harder for you as you don't know who's an NPC and who's another player.

- ::Belle will get the starter weak to your starter while Cheren will get the starter strong against your starter. All in all, Cheren seems to fit the rival archtype much more, especially since his Pokemon are stronger than Belle's are despite appearing on the same route.
::The overworld sprites are animated too, not just the battle sprites.
::Speaking of battle sprites, their movement changes depending on what you do in battle. For instance, if Shimama uses Charge, it will bend its hoof and become more determined in its stances.
::In the video, the trainer talks to a person under an alcove. This seems special somewhat as the overworld sprite doesn't look generic and their surroundings look different. Maybe I'm looking too much into this.
::Kibago is a Dragon-type.
::The pre-battle 'clash' poses seem to vary depending on who the trainer is battling. In the video, the girl's pose is different than in other videos.
::At the end of the video, the trainer walks into a forest and talks to Professor Araragi. The camera stops looking at the video and focuses on the overexaggerated shock on people's faces. Something important, perhaps?

- ::New character - Iris. She replaces Dawn as the group's female. She's a wild girl who uses the environment to her advantage, such as swinging from trees to get from place to place. She sounds a bit like Sapphire from the manga, who May is based off. She has a Kibago who travels in her hair. Yup.
::New character - Dento. He's a waiter who seems to be very knowledgable on a variety of subjects and can see how compatible Pokemon and trainers are. Sounds a bit like Brock. However, it's hinted that this may not be true and he may be hiding something. He does not have a Kibago in his hair.
::Both characters are original designs. What I mean by that is that they don't seem to be based off anyone in the game and their appearances have been created just for the anime.
::The trailer points out that Ash does not appear in the promotional texts. However, we know he's going to return as the leaked drawings show this.

By "playing" I'm totally not implying the now illegal entirely in the UK R4 card. Sheesh, who uses R4s anyway? I totally dig the perfectly legal AceKard any day

For this game, I've decided to wait for the US/European release. Playing Diamond and Soul Silver in Japanese ruined the experience for me.

I didn't find it ruined the experience at all with SS, I found playing in Kanto for the first time (which I did in the European release) ruined the whole experience for me...

It's finally been released. Sure it's going to be a while before most of us Westerners get to try it out, but at least we don't have to speculate over what the rest of the new Pokemon are.

I have to say I'm more impressed with what they've come up with this time around. While the 4th generation bought us some cool new Pokemon, I felt there were way too many Legendaries and evolutions from previous generations. This time the majority are brand new (apart from the flying squirrel that clearly evolves from Pachirisu - I'll be surprised if that's not the case) and there are some interesting dual-types (Dark/Fighting, Grass/Steel, Bug/Electric).
I can now officially give up my futile attempt to fill my SoulSilver Pokedex

Dunno if I have to put this in spoilers, but I guess I will anyway.

- No Gen V Pokemon are related to other Pokemon.
But anyway, I love this gen's Pokemon. Of course, some I dislike (The genie trio...the only thing that makes me like them is that one is pure-Flying type), but some I absolutely love. Desukan, Kirikizan, Hihidaruma, just to name a few. There's some very good Pokemon there, and some amazing new stuff for the metagame, such as Drought Ninetales.

So far, everyone I know absolutely loves the game. Even the ones who complained all summer.
