To continue the comedy line, how about Red Dwarf? I *LOVE* that show, its sheer comical genius. The Cat is my favourite character (nope, not biased at all ), closely followed by Rimmer. Blackadder is also a favourite, particularly the last ep with the whole underpants and pencils scene, which brings me to my favourite quote of all Blackadder: "I think the phrase rhymes with 'clucking bell'." Ahh can't beat the oldies.
Haha I will be on edge still it happens!
Yes, I do like Red Dwarf! Its excellent, though I didn't reckon too much to the recent special they did. Didn't feel the same at all like the good ol days.

Did you know that Rowan Atkinson has a speach impediment that makes it hard for him to respond instantly to certain words or phrases? That's why there was a long (and humorous) pause when he said "Bob" in that one episode in series 2.

Lol YES there is a lot of Red Dwarf love spreading! I'm liking this! Best ever episode has to be Gunmen of the Apocalypse. I love Quarantine too, a little split between the two. And of course, Polymorph and Backwards are also ace, and also the very first episode. "Dave, everybody's dead, everybody is dead Dave." "Wait a minute. Are you trying to tell me everybody's dead?"
The Back to Earth episodes would have been much better if there had been audience laughter in them I reckon. That's part of what makes Red Dwarf so ace. I did like the "Hologram Killing" theme that the female Hologram brought in, particularly when Rimmer hears her say "hologram already dead so hologram killing fine!" and so pushes her into the path of an oncoming car to illustrate her point and maintain his own cowardly hide.
I didn't know Rowan has a speech impediment, that's added some knowledge to the shelves and cabinets in my brain. He's a phenomenol actor, I like him a lot.

Re: Off-Topic Pub
For artistic purposes they could speak English. Or they could speak their native language and it could be deduced what they mean from other characters, sort of like Hylian in The Wind Waker. But they clearly have some way of communicating with each other despite the differences in their languages.Darren wrote:Metroid would interest me, but you can't really do audio with Metroid, the majority of the characters aren't human.
The real problem for me is going to be finding a voice actress suitable for Samus. On the forum where I suggested an audio drama project, there are only a couple of women, and they aren't on very often. They might not even be interested in it, but I kind of want the project to involve primarily the members of that forum so it could be sort of representative of them.

I'm seriously beginning to wonder if I'm developing insomnia. For some reason, whenever my boyfriend stays over and I'm working the next day, I can't sleep. It's quarter to 6 in the morning and just can't get off. I've now got to work until 8 tonight on no sleep and I've got my driving test tomorrow. Very cheesed off.

Yay for western 360 RPG I don't give a damn for!
I'm going to keep quiet now before I get ripped to shreds by 360 fanboys (hopefully there aren't any on this forum...).

Today dragged on. Damn, I can't wait for Miles Edgeworth, it might stop the boredom.

Re: Off-Topic Pub
Not much now, really. Need to go into Liverpool to get some new clothes, but I have no idea when I'm doing that. Wanna go see Avatar too, no idea when.

I've heard avatar ain't all that story wise, but the graphics are stunning. Think i'll wait for the DVD to borrow.
Re: Off-Topic Pub
I'd rather see it in the cinema myself. Films seem so much better on a big screen, especially Avatar.

Re: Off-Topic Pub
Yeah point, I've been going the cinema quite a bit recently, went to see Daybreakers last, was a pretty good movie, didn't like the ending though.
Re: Off-Topic Pub
The last time I went to the cinema was to see...2012, I believe. Excellent film, but long and screwed-up at times though. I love meeting my friends at the pictures and seeing films with them. It's a great way of meeting up with people I haven't seen in ages.

Re: Off-Topic Pub
Indeed, we started to go weekly, but there's not been much out we want to see sadly.
