Re: Project Natal / Kinect
Many sources have said that the price will be around £100. However, the validity of those sources have not been verified.

May I see them anyway?

History sure doesn't tell me this; not to mention affordability is sometimes relative. Computers and laptops sure weren't bought by the public when they arrived. Neither were cellphones. If it uses as much as the Wii, I still think that's a far more realistic element (although I wouldn't say it's impossible 100% for the price you stated.technology is only released when it becomes affordable
I think a better argument would be that the gaming market has learned from PS3's attempt in trying to sell its console; although, as I've said before.. money talks and if it's as expensive to make as I'm theorizing, Microsoft still wants to make a profit. It will be ultimately based on how expensive it is to make it.

Indeed. Microsoft are having a private conference for Natal. Its day before the overall Microsoft conference. So expect something good. I know Rare & Lionhead Studios are going to be working on Natal. Two great developers working on something which could be the next big step into gaming.
Re: Project Natal / Kinect
I also have to admit that this 'big step' is scary if other companies follow suit. When you were a kid, gaming kept you coming back and gave you fond memories because of the enjoyable characters and the relations you could get with them. If that sort of thing dies down economically, nobody could enjoy gaming emotionally anymore than other art media. That would then truly casualize the fanbase almost completely and make gaming feel more like riding a bike.
Sometimes, more technology just simply isn't the answer.

If it was the NEC then it was probably The Gadget Show Live. You'd kind of expect The Gadget Show to go there really.

Don't normally watch Gadget Show. It was a one off chance of watching it and noticing that they were playing a bit of Natal.

Looks a bit like that DSi game but it actively puts you in the game rather than taking pictures of you in deifferant poses

Edge reports that Natal will cost $149, so around £100.
Also don't know if you folks have seen this video of a writer from Parade magazine testing it out with his family.

Yeah, GAME in Sweden had posted on their website price details for Natal and it too (when the currency was changed to USD) showed $149...
But then there were rumours that the rumour was just made by Microsoft so that they would announce a lower price at E3... Does anyone follow?

A lower price would be nice, but I'm just glad the current price isn't insanely high.

Re: Project Natal / Kinect
if it costs 70 dollars it'll probably cost about £70. You have to take into account the inflation factor placed upon our purchases just because we had the bare nerve to be born in the UK.

Re: Project Natal / Kinect
If they price it above the cost of a bare bones 360 Arcade, then they'll have problems.
Got to come in at least under a hundred quid

My guess is it'll be £80. Haven't heard anything, but it's less than a pre-owned xbox in GAME but more than a new game release.

Just hoping for some really kick ass games tbh

Yeah? Well it was better thatn Scott's joke that's for sure! 8[
Anyway, it's an interesting name, one that will need to grow on me like the Wii did, I might instantly like it! I can't wait to hear the cheesy slogans..
