Happy Birthday Mario!
Yes, the Mario series is 25 today! 25 years ago, one of the most influential games ever was released, which started off the biggest gaming franchise ever. The series has grew and grew, releasing platformers, adventure games, sports games, platformers, and more. It also signifies the birthday of many popular Mario characters. To celebrate this, a special version of Super Mario All-Stars is being released under the title Super Mario Collection. It comes with a music disk, loads of artwork and loads of info. However, it's limited stock.
What are your best Mario memories? Mine would be completing Super Mario World for the first time.

Nope, came out in 1995. As I said, it's the Mario series that's 25.

Technically it's the "Super Mario" series that's 25 years (and a day) old. The fact the SNES and Super Mario All-Stars was the first game/console I could call my own is my most triumphant memory of the Italian Stallion. If it wasn't for that particular Christmas present, I'd probably still want to be a train driver instead of a games designer - until Mario came along, Thomas the Tank Engine was my childhood hero.
The days I got SM64 and SMG were almost as memorable, plus the day I completed SMW, SMB2 and SMB3 in one sitting (this was roughly sixteen or seventeen years AFTER getting said SNES ).

Re: Happy Birthday Mario!
Mario isn't 25 years old so they should specify the Mario series!
