Basically, here's everything we know about Paper Mario 3DS:

Who else is looking forwards to this game?

Simply because it's a Paper Mario game and the fact it's on 3DS is enough for me to want this game very very badly XD I can't wait for a true Paper Mario! BRING IT ON!

I'm just glad this is an RPG. Not saying Super Paper Mario is bad, but it was my least favourite of the series, and not just because it used platforming instead.

I'm looking forward to this. I never got the chance to play Paper Mario on the Cube or Wii. Is there a Wii Paper Mario? XD

Well, I can't wait to experience a Paper Mario game on the go plus in 3D!

There's been three Paper Mario games:

Paper Mario: N64
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door: Gamecube
Super Paper Mario: Wii

SPM is considered the weakest of the three by fans and one of the better ones by non-fans because it's a platformer, not an RPG. I personally prefer the RPG games. The best thing is, you can play all three games on the Wii

Also don't forget to try out Mario & Luigi's superstar saga and Partners in time...plus the latest game BOWSERS INSIDE STORY!

I borrowed Partners in time on the DS. That was brilliant. I so want a sequel to that game. I really enjoyed it. Bowsers Inside Story is another game which I have been looking at as well. I may get Partners In Time on the cheap if I can. DS games are lacking a bit nowadays.

I liked it, but it's not top of my list for favourites. My list being:

I'm shocked you rated Super Mario RPG so low. Bowsers inside story must be something special!

It's not that, I just find Super Mario RPG to be extremely overrated.

Superstar Saga was unreal amounts of fun.

I can't wait to see what humour and fun they add to Paper Mario 3DS! It's also clever how it's the third paper mario game, so the 3 is more relevant.

So, what kinds of partners would you like to see in this Paper Mario? We can see there's gonna be a chomp, although it's not the final design of the chomp yet. The chomp seems to do a similar job to the koopa partners, so perhaps other Marioverse creatures can do the jobs of current ones? Maybe give the Goomba a different task (although what it can do I have no idea) and let someone else be the tattler. Perhaps a Magikoopa partner? As for going over gaps or going faster, how about a Bullet Bill? Although Mario riding a Bullet Bill will be weird, but that person did it in that music video with the bomb thing...

Anyway, I'd like to see some new Mario creatures as partners. We could have a Luma for lighting up areas or as a shield (similar to Barry from Super Paper Mario), or a Gearmo for going over gaps by using its magnets to get attracted to metallic objects. It could also double as a way of gathering coins. How about bringing back old enemies not seen in a while too? Chargin' Chuck could reappear in a partner role, although his ability would be similar to the Chomp's. And maybe this time, we could have a Boo who turns into a block which can be used as a platform like the Boo Buddy Blocks from Super Mario World?

How about a Snifit partner? I think their ability in the field should be obvious . I love this storyline that someone on Deviant Art came up with - Paper Mario: The Book of Ages. Obviously not what Nintendo have in mind for the 3DS game, but I'll be very suspicious if it has a similar storyline...

I was writing a Paper Mario script for a new Paper Mario game and I came up with at least 10 partners, and one of them was a Snifit partner called Sniffins. He was a Snifit who hated Princess Peach for killing his father in Super Mario Bros 2 and wanted revenge on her by joining up with Mario to get close to her. He has a habit of calling her Princess Toadstool too. It was a character based largely around nostalgia. I'd love a Snifit partner.
