Ipod Touch gaming
So how many of you guys own an Ipod touch and play games on it? During the christmas period, I obtained free games given away daily, there were quite a few good ones such as Blimp that was fun. I was wondering what games you own and play, and for those of you that don't own one, your thoughts on Ipod gaming in general.
Re: Ipod Touch gaming
I currently have 6 pages of apps on my ipod touch I love so many games on it. My highlights currently are Solitaire, Minesweeper, Unblock Me, Sonic the Hedgehog (original Mega Drive version ), Fat-a-pult, Tap Defense and Crack the Code.

Re: Ipod Touch gaming
I <3 Trivial Pursuit. Me and my friends spend endless free periods just playing this one game on one of their iPod Touch's. I don't have my own one however, so I don't get access to these apps and games and crazy stuffs
Re: Ipod Touch gaming
I don't own an iPod Touch, but I've played a few games on a mate's and really enjoyed them! One particular standout was some sort of racing/time trial game. Although the task was simple, "Beat the top lap time" it kept me hooked for quite a while! I am thinking about getting one for myself sometime later this year perhaps.
I now also see how some regard them as competition for the DS. The graphical capabilities are higher, and it's got motion control which works very well! I think Apple could really go far if they decide to make a games console, and it would certainy change the future of gaming by a great ammount, if only by exclusives or somehing.
What do you lot think?

I'm interested in this Trivial Pursuit game, how much is it?
Re: Ipod Touch gaming
I don't really play games on my iPod to be honest, I use it as more of a utility iPod. I have a new games, The Nazi Zombies LITE is alriight ;D
Re: Ipod Touch gaming
I mostly use my iPod Touch...well, as an iPod. For the odd times I do play on it, I highly reccomend Pocket God. I also use Solitaire, Mahjong, Sonic the Hedgehog, Soccer Kick Off (it's quite addictive!), iEverton (hopes there are no Liverpool fans about ) Bejewelled 2 and many more.

Re: Ipod Touch gaming
I'd like an iTouch, but I'd have to haggle the price. The things are mighty expensive. Thing is, I know that as soon as I buy a 3rd gen one, they'll announce the 4th gen, which will probably be cheaper and better. I've played Tap Tap Revenge or Tapulous, whatever it was. It's like Guitar Hero but without colours and strumming. It was OK, but what sold me was the music. I borrowed an iTouch when I was staying in a hotel last year and passed out listening to it. I love how it has a decent speaker, unlike the other iPods. I think the music quality through speakers is an improvement too.

Re: Ipod Touch gaming
The Apple headphones are still as tinny as ever, I got myself a decent pair at Christmas and the iGun App 'BANG' has massively improved ^_^
Re: Ipod Touch gaming
I've never had headphones with such good quality as Apple headphones. Sure, they're a bit expensive if you think about it (About £12 to replace a pair) but as they say, you get what you pay for!

Not sure, it used to be free on the 12 Days of Christmas offer.

I bought a book collection app, it's a very good app. I'm currently reading Alice in Wonderland every night.

Re: Ipod Touch gaming
My brother just told me about a TNA Wrestling game app that he got, said it's pretty good, but you obviously have to be a wrestling fan to enjoy.
Re: Ipod Touch gaming
I forgot to mention one thing I like about iPod gaming - I see many games by popular flash artists, so it gives these people a chance at doing what they love.

I just learned that there's a Mafia Wars app! I'm happy ^_^ Unfortunately, you can't link it to your Facebook version (for anyone that plays it)
Re: Ipod Touch gaming
My brother has that, I would get it if you could link them, but I'm not starting again, spent faaaar to much time on it to restart

Re: Ipod Touch gaming
Thanks, Thompo! I've been looking for some new apps and you've named some great ones.
Anyway, I just downloaded Lego Photo. It's an app which lets you turn any image into Lego. For full use, use an iPhone so you can take pictures in Lego mode.
Edit: I forgot to mention, you can download Bloons games for your iPod. If you want a game similar to TapDefense, get Bloons Tower Defense.

Re: Ipod Touch gaming
Oh, someone dropped me an itunes giftcard recently so I blew it all within 15 minutes...like you do. Besides, It's pretty easy to get any app for free.
Anyway, I purchased Avatar : I knowwww, shaaame. Film license.
But it's actually halfway decent! The graphics are good, the controls are great, the action and puzzle mix is fun and the environments are varied.
Worth it tbh.
I also got Resi 4. Which is AWFUL on itouch.
It's so bad compared to it's console counterparts. Avoid.
Annd COD: Zombies which is AMAZING fun! You can play online with friends, through wi-fi and the graphics beat anything on a ds by a mile. :L
The controls are a bit iffy though. Still fun. ^_^

Blew it in 15 minutes? Seems a bit rushed..Azure-rain wrote:Oh, someone dropped me an itunes giftcard recently so I blew it all within 15 minutes...like you do. Besides, It's pretty easy to get any app for free.
You lost me at "The graphics are good" and considering you put that reason first, leads me to believe that's what you care about the most when it comes to games.Azure-rain wrote:Anyway, I purchased Avatar : I knowwww, shaaame. Film license.

Graphics again.. I have to sigh at you I really do..Azure-rain wrote:Annd COD: Zombies which is AMAZING fun! You can play online with friends, through wi-fi and the graphics beat anything on a ds by a mile. :L

Re: Ipod Touch gaming
Ooh, someone's negative today
But yeah, it's possible to blow £15 in 15 minutes. Some games cost about £5, remember? Also, I blew mine in 5 minutes because I'd spent time beforehand deciding what apps I wanted.
