I'm not going to lie, I am still quite interested in it. To be frank, I need a proper game to get me playing the Wii again, I literally haven't touched it for about four months.

What about no more heroes 2? Or perhaps NSMBWii?

NSMBWii; nothing I haven't seen before a billion times. I mean that quite literally.

NMH2; GTA on LSD.

I'm slowly getting turned off console gaming, it's just becoming inconvenient and not as rewarding for me. I'm reading and studying a lot more, and to be honest, there's more hardcore games on the DS than there are on the Wii, by a very long shot.

This is nowhere near my most hyped game of the year. However, it seems fun. Metroid's probably my least favourite Nintendo franchise, which explains it a bit. However, if Team Ninja do something to get non-fans interested, I may purchase it.

3D Metroid series never really took my interest. If it's anything like its 2D Counterparts I'll reconsider.

Other M;

It looks good, I'll be getting it fo' sure. But I won't be having orgasms over it, if you get what I mean.

I've learnt not to overhype games after my shock when the MW2 campaign took me 3 hours. ^_^

And Lamma, NSMBWii is an epic game, whatever anyone says. It's got some new features aswell! I highly recommend.

This is kinda a 2.5D / 3D game this time around, and I think given Nintendo are trying to go back to hardcore fans, it wouldn't surprise me if this game plays a bit like Super Metroid, think about how Shadow Complex on the 360 plays..

Bah! Shadow Complex... No need to be 360 exclusive...

*huffs*

Anyway, we still have no clue whatsoever how it will play. 2.5D may be COMPLETELY wrong for all we know, 3D may also be completely wrong too... And then there's those 1st Person teasers...

I'm pretty sure it switches between a 2.5D and 3D viewpoint. Where else can it go? 4D? FUUUUUUU

You're going through just the phase I went through starting from a year ago last September. Just lost the desire to obsess over games, gained the cba with games, had lots of work to do, never played games, still don't for the most part. I just have much, much, much greater priorities. I'm getting Endless Ocean 2, SMG2 and Other M this year as far as new games are concerned, as well as any sub-£20 games that jump out at me for the 360.

Anyway, what do I want from Other M? A fully orchestrated score would bo lovely. I think the style of the game suits some excellent dramatic violin, and the theme on the teaser site just sounds awesome. Yes please Nintendo/Tecmo.

I think fully orchestrated is the wrong way to go for this particular genre, it needs those digital synth and futuristic space sounds that makes it pretty good. Although a real live choir would be AWESOME

Metal/techno-trance. A smidgen of orchestra.

I would be a happy man.

It obviously needs to keep in with such "KREEEE!" sounds as encountered in previous games, but I truly believe that such an intense atmosphere could be created using full orchestra that I'd happily see the space age MIDI Synth shelved. There's no saying that the game wouldn't work with both though, I just envision that full orchestra would be the way Tecmo wanted to go, and with the SMG orchestra working so well on a lighter score, I'm sure Nintendo would want to try out something more brooding.

They could use a mixture of synth and real orchestra. I think it could work quite well.

What I would enjoy but will never happen is Stemage being involved in a Metroid game's soundtrack.

Judging from the trailer, an ochestral soundtrack seems likely. Whether it will be entirely based on an orchestra is still to be determined.

Don't judge electronic music just yet, the Prime series (by which I mean the first) had incredibly ambient music from such minimalistic sounds. At least the first did for me, the second was just dull and the third aimed for a more grander feel.

I'm not a big Metriod fan to be honest. Any news on the story of this one.

I always had the idea that this was a kind of "What would happen if X went like this" and lets you explore alternate roots in the story, which would be pretty cool.

Story info = nonexistant. Even from the trailer it's pretty much impossible to tell much story besides flashback, zomfg Metroid! and whether or not I remember him...

The idea of flashback fit into my theory, I really do hope it's an alternate existence story. Would be awesome.

I was actually being sarcastic.

I've seen the trailer enough to know that Samus does not use the Ice Beam at all against that purple gelatanous creature, but in fact the Federation Troopers are firing freezing projectiles at it.
